Playingcards.io
for interactive play

I use playingcards.io for instruction, demonstration and fun interactions with students.  There are many advantages for virtual and in-person education.

  • The platform can be accessed from any device including Chromebooks and tablets - anything with a browser

  • The pieces (cards) can turn over with a true front and back

  • It is easy to add new decks or words.  No more printing multiple card decks for a whole class to participate

  • It is easy to customize decks for differentiation

  • The automations make pieces move

  • You can have true game play where one player does not see the other players' cards

  • The ad-free version is very reasonably priced and allows you to keep your rooms active indefinitely

Concerns:

  • In a school setting, the site may be blocked as it is was created for online game play, not education.  Advances may be made soon

  • On the free version, you must activate the games (enter and play them) often or they will expire and be removed

I am sharing some of my games for free in the site here:
